From work surprises to first anniversaries!!!

 Job Drama
Hello my dedicated blog followers out there! I know I left you with a cliff hanger in my last post... did I take the promotion and go to the HP account? Well... I did take the job! I started in March as a new Market Analyst for the HP team!!

As you all know I work for MarketStar which is an outsourcing company. This means that teams can come and go with a drop of a hat. Well... I received news about a month ago that the team I was hired on to work with was going away! That means one of two things for me... that I am either out of a job, or I find a new position in MarketStar. Luckily the VP of insights really likes me  (well at least I like to think so) and offered me a position in Ogden as a Market Analyst. He said it was because I was doing such a good job, and they couldn't afford to lose me. Okay... those were not the exact words, but you get the point :) This is the position I wanted in my last post. However, I really liked the HP team and I am so sad to leave them.

First Anniversary!
Kody and I also celebrated our first anniversary last week. We both had not taken a vacation since our honeymoon last year, and decided that a trip to Seattle would be great gifts to each other. We did so many fun things on our trip, but our favorite was visiting the Pike Place Market located in downtown Seattle. This market is awesome. We could have spent a whole day in just one part of town. We would highly recommend anyone to visit Pike Place Market next time they are in Seattle. We also decided to drive just north of Seattle and visit the San Juan Islands. We stayed on Friday Harbor in a bed and breakfast. We went hiking, shopping, and kayaking. The only problem is that Kody got violently ill on our kayaking tour. Poor boy... it wasn't very much fun for him. On our last day we took a tour of the underground city of Seattle. It was awesome to learn of the cities history. I have attached some pictures of our trip. I hope you all enjoy!
There are so many deer on San Juan

Beautiful hike we took

Pike Place Market! Our favorite spot!

Eating at Beth's Cafe

We decided to go to a place where Adam from Man Vs. Food had a food challenge. This is HALF of what Adam attempted to eat.

This is Kody Vs. Food.

Food Won.

It was a great vacation. We had a blast!

December 14th really means March

So.... I said I would be back after I graduated from college... but I guess that really means the beginning of March! It is crazy how fast life moves. I feel our lives have changed since I last posted. Kody started a new job as a manager of the Clinton Sprint store. He is a very busy boy because he is also going to school full time. He is expected to work around 45 hours per week. I am trying to help him out by doing some of his homework (mainly math). Can I just say that Weber State University has the WORST math program I have ever seen. When I went though math at the University, I went to class and a teacher taught me how to do the problems. Now  everything is online and you teach yourself. I know what you are thinking and yes it is very stupid. You can call me professor Little because I spend every Saturday at the math hub with Kody teaching him how to do his math so he can pass his quizzes.

I have also been offered an opportunity to accept a promotion with MarketStar. I would be a dedicated analyst for HP. I am having hesitation about accepting the position because it is in South Jordan. This would be a hour and a half commute for me on the Front Runner. I also love working on the reporting and analytics team I am on right now. I look forward to work everyday because of the people I work with. I just am not sure when an open position on this team would open up. I don't want to be an intern forever, and this might be a great experience for me. They are so much fun. I will let you know what I choose to do on my next post. :)

P.S. I added some pictures of my graduation... and of my cute little puppy!

Lumi Little

My new little friend

Kody and I decided that we wanted to get a little puppy. We searched all weekend for just the right little friend. I wanted to get a tea cup yorkie puppy, and Kody wanted to get a Maltese puppy. We found many yorkie puppies, but none of them felt like they were the one we needed to take home. Last night Kody found a posting on KSL.com for maltese puppies close to my parents house. We went over with the intentions to just look. When we met Lumi we knew we had to have her.

We took her home that night and played with her. When it came time to go to sleep we were both nervous that she was going to whine for her mama. The opposite happened... she slept though the whole night. She is the best dog ever. We are in love!

Sherman Tilli Potter

Warning: Very sad story ahead.

For those of you who know me really well... you know how much I loved my cat Tilli. My sister Morgan brought her home from her friends house when I was 12 years old. She instantly became a member of the Weaver family. She would wait for me to come home at night so she could sleep with me. She would make me feel better when I was sad. Tilli was the one who protected me at night when my parents were out on a business trip. (yes she was a ferocious cat and would keep me safe ha ha) Tilli was my best friend. I know that makes me sound like a crazy cat lady... but I loved her. There will be no other cat that is as sweet, obedient, and smart as her. I could go on and on about how unique of a pet she was.

Well when I got married to Kody, I could not bring her to live with me just yet. Our apartment was too small for a pet. Recently Kody and I moved into our own little house. We finally had room enough to have her come to live with us. I decided I would unpack our house first before I go to fetch her.

The day I was going to get her, my mom called me and told me she could not find Tilli. I dropped everything that I was doing and ran over to my parents house. I yelled and screamed her name, but she would not come. I knew something was wrong because she always comes when I call. I went to all my neighbors houses and asked if they has seen my pet. One neighbor had told me that they had seen her in their yard the day before, but they had "put her over the fence". Before I go on with my story, you must know one thing. Tilli was a very cautious cat. She would not let anyone touch her unless she knew them. When my neighbor told me that they had "put her over the fence", I knew that they had done something to her. For them to "put her over the fence" they would have had to make it so she could not run from them. I am not pointing fingers at my neighbors, but this was a very odd thing for them to say. It made me sick when they said it to me.

I went back to my parents house and started calling for her once again. This time I thought I would go into the back yard to call for her just in case she was hurt and could not jump the fence. I went into the back yard and glanced at her favorite place to sleep. That is when I saw her little body. She had gone to her favorite place to die. I screamed and my mom came running. My mom, sister and me spent the rest of the day crying over the lost member of our family.

I can not express how very sad I am. I will never forget my little friend Tilli. She did so much for me growing up. I know I will see her again. I just wish I could have said good bye.

Happy Sunday

For those of you who know me super well... you know that when I was younger I hated hiking with a passion! I would yell the whole time "I HATE HIKING!" Imagine the surprise of my parents when I was excited to go on a hike with my family yesterday after General Conference ended. I have actually grown to really enjoy going on a good hike. The leaves were changing and it was just beautiful. I think I forget at times how pretty Utah is. It was nice to get to do something fun with my family. I just really wish Breanne, Olivert, and the kids could have joined us. I am so lucky to have the family I have. I love them all.
